Green living crazy catfish

Hungry Catfish Jump out of Water to Eat Pigeons

Cat by name, cat by nature: These catfish in the French town of Albie call the River Tarn their home. As the river winds through the town, a small gravel island has formed where the town’s pigeons like to stop in for a refreshing drink. Some will get more than they bargained for as the catfish along this stretch of the river lie in wait to snatch the unsuspecting pigeons from the water’s edge.

The European Catfish is the largest freshwater fish on the continent and can grow up to 1.5 meters long. These cheeky behemoths are willing to throw themselves on the sandbar in order to grab a feather feast. Take a look; its quite spectacular.
