Avoid Disposables

Research shows that take out food waste and packaging is having a huge impact on our environment. Fortunately, there are ways to reduce waste, even at places where disposables are the only option. When you order a drink, skip the lid and straw.

Some eateries also offer a bag to carry your drink or food. Skip taking the bag if you can do without it or bring your own. If you are eating takeout at home, be sure to ask that the sachets of ketchup, salt etc. not be included in your order. The same goes for napkins and plastic cutlery.
