DIY Homemade Balms for Beautiful Hands

Green Living Nail Strengthener

Keep your nails long and strong with this green living recipe. Our green living nail strengthener recipe yields 20-30 applications.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons castor oil
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon wheat germ oil

Mix ingredients together in a bottle. Shake before use. Run a drop of the solution onto your nails and leave for 3 to 5 minutes. Wipe off with a tissue or cotton pad.

Green Living Natural Hand Soap

Make your own liquid hand soap which won’t dry out your skin or nails. It’s easy peasy!

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups of water
  • 1 bar Castile soap (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon glycerin
  • 10 drops of essential oil like lavender or lemon verbena

Make your green living hand soap by bring 5 cups of water to the boil. Turn off the heat and add the grated Castile soap and glycerine. Stir until the soap is completely dissolved. Remove the pot from the stove and leave to cool. When it is cool to the touch, add essential oil and mix your green living soap well. Don’t be surprised if it’s a little lumpy. Leave it overnight to cool. Blend it in the blender and add water until it is smooth and the consistency you want. Use it in a hand soap pump. This green living hand soap is safe to use while camping and for children.

Green living Cuticle Cream Recipe

This awesome green living cuticle cream will prevent hand nails and give your nails the perfect start.

  • 0.5 oz. cocoa butter
  • 1.5 oz. shea butter
  • 1 teaspoon glycerin
  • 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
  • 10 drops lemon essential oils

Place the cocoa and shea butters in a small pot and melt over a very low heat. Remove the pot from the stove and add glycerin, vitamin E and essential oils and stir well and place in small jars or tins. Leave to cool or place in the fridge to cool overnight. Massage green living cuticle cream into the cuticles every day.

I’ll give you feedback after I’ve tried it, it’s winter here and my cuticles are dried and peeling.
