DIY Upcycled Cocktail Umbrella Lamp

Cocktails were drunk and fun was had by all, now you’ve got a phalanx of umbrellas (yes, that’s right, a phalanx – I looked it up!) You can upcycle those happy little cocktail umbrellas to make a gorgeous lampshade as a memento to good times.

What you need:

  • Cocktail umbrellas
  • White glue
  • Scissors or shears
  • Beach ball or lampshade

Start by cutting off the stems of the umbrellas.

Apply a generous amount of white glue to the underside of your cocktail umbrellas.

Glue the umbrella to your inflated beach ball or lamp shade. Press it down so that it is completely open. Continue to glue cocktail umbrellas onto your beach ball or lamp shade, making sure that they overlap.

Leave overnight to dry.
